(at least for now)
Melissa & Co is closing its design doors.
It's been fun but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.
If you are a current client, don't worry I'm still here for you.
Please reach out to info(at)melissamitchell.me if you need anything.
It's been a pleasure! Until we meet again...
With love,
Melissa Mitchell
Your Face is Rad is a brand photography and business portrait company that Melissa created with her photographer husband Josh. Being creative small business owners, they knew they wanted their new company to be unique, fun, and the polar opposite of the old school studio headshot photographer. Their clients are business owners looking for something different to help them stand out from the competition. The concept for the business was born from watching the rise of social media, specifically Instagram, as a tool for businesses to find new clients. They need a thoughtful and curated Instagram feed to attract their ideal clients but in order to accomplish this they need custom photography that matches their brand. Your Face is Rad wants to take those photos!
Because Your Face is Rad’s services are often used for social media they wanted to include that concept in their branding. We came up with the idea of incorporating emoticons as the “rad faces” of their brand. It was also important for the brand to reflect their clean, modern and colorful design tastes. Here’s what we came up with:
Brand Board Credits: Luulla | West Elm Workspace | Seth Godin | Portraits to the People | Archie McPhee
Your Face is Rad’s website design is 100% responsive and looks great on all screen sizes. In this day and age, it’s important to keep the website design experience consistent no matter what device the viewer is using to surf the internet.
The about page for Your Face is Rad includes a two column design, one for each team member. We wanted to highlight the key functions of the owners plus include an important quote about why they care so much about what they do.
Each service page for Your Face is Rad includes graphics to help the client understand how they can use their photography services plus loads of important information on the photography process including an accordion FAQ section.
The blog includes a side bar with social media links, category links and ad-space section.
Visit the website Your Face is Rad to get the whole experience.
